The Proprietors

Jim and Leslie D’Andrea established Noble Ridge Vineyard & Winery in 2001. 

Jim is an accomplished athlete, author and lawyer.  A collegiate football champion and a member of the Football Hall of Fame at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Jim graduated from law school in 1982.  That same year, Jim joined the law firm Bennett Jones LLP in Calgary, Alberta.  Jim now heads the firm’s Employment Service Practices group. Jim has authored two books on employment law.  And that’s probably all we need to say about that before the wine is poured.

Jim and Leslie met at Queen's University. Leslie proceeded to graduate with a master’s degree in health administration from University of Toronto and headed west. Leslie worked as an administrator at the Foothills General Hospital and also established a successful health care consultancy practice.  More recently, and more to the point, Leslie has successfully completed the viticultural course offered by the Okanagan University College in Penticton as well as a Certificate I from the International Wine Education Guild.

Sharing their love of wine, both Jim and Leslie have achieved Sommelier Certificate II (International Sommelier Guild) and are continuing their studies, both academic and experiential.

Leslie and Jim have three wonderful and talented children:  Jennifer, Ben, and James.
