King’s Ransom Pinot Noir
2017
2016
91 Points – 2020 Wine Align, Michael Godel - CA
Apposite to the chardonnay under this select label it is pinot noir that seems poised to fit the acronym-inspired bill. That is in the sense that sheer size, amplitude, and ambition indicate a willingness to embrace the idea of a king’s ransom. The structure here just feels like a small fortune needs to trade hands for the procurement of some precious bottles. The acid-tannin relationship is heated and in youthful rebellion somewhat in disagreement. That will change, maturity will prevail and the 20s should bring copacetic amenability. With plenty of continued muscle of course. Drink 2022-2027
