2017

A lovely Cabernet Sauvignon. Well balanced. Tannic tension is harmonized with the juicy black fruits and acidity. Long lingering length. Age worthy. Drink now or lay down for 10+ years.

A very flavorful cabernet with feathery tannins and a bright, cheerful palate. Plentiful in the flavour department, gracefully aged in bottle with an overall elegant character. Generous with an intriguing ferrous quality that lingers on the finish of excellent length.

2016

A hot vintage has pumped enough heat into the vineyards to ripen this cabernet sauvignon very nicely, although still evidently from a northern region. I really like the lifted, textbook blackcurrant jam nose with fresh herbs, tobacco and well placed oak. It is medium-full bodied, just a bit sinewy and tannic as cabernet can often be, but the fruit delivery and length are excellent. Still quite tannic so age it another two or three years. Nicely done.
