The Pink One

2019

Mature and toasty, with plenty traditional method character, a proper and serious sparkling rosé. The palate is balanced and crisp, dry, seriously intended with very good length and depth, though bubbles dissipate fairly rapidly, and there's a slightly candied edge to the fruit

It's a gorgeous, vivid salmon hue. Aromas of fresh strawberry and rose petals with a hint of hazelnut. Flavours of cherry, raspberry, and baked pear with a hint of earthy bread and a long, soft finish.

Finally, let’s not forget sparkling Rosé. It also has its place on the dinner table or patio, with the added benefit that fun fizziness adds to the alluring pink shades. The Pink One’s light pink with orange highlights — salmon colour if we’re feeling fancy. Okanagan Falls-based Noble Ridge follows the traditional method in crafting this limited release bubbly, which is made from 100 per cent Pinot Noir and has 34 months aging in bottle. The result is expressive aromas of berry, flowers, and lemon curd. A supple but fruity entry leads to secondary notes of brioche and toast, with good weight overall and a robust yet lip-smacking finish.

A rich rose hue with a fuller nose of over-ripe strawberry and freshly sliced late-harvest cherries. Nice attack with a full-bodied approach on the mid-palate. Nicely balanced wine that will look slick on any summer table.

A favourite of many at the recent National Wine Awards, this mature Rosé opens with toasted notes and crisp, dry red fruit that shout class and traditional method winemaking. Look for a mix of strawberry and raspberry mixed with red apples and cherries that stream throughout the wine, with a touch of brioche in the finish. Drink all summer on the patio with smoked salmon and cream cheese or some spicy tuna sushi rolls. This will have a broad appeal.

A bold, flavoursome style with lovely savouriness. Gorgeous rose-gold hue. Cracked wheat. Faint berry accents. Very classy. Higher dosage - finishes with sweet fruit.

Mid-depth salmon hue, fine bead. Intense bouquet of grilled toast and strawberry jam. Fresh and intense with excellent depth of toasty autolytic character, well-integrated mousse and finely judged dosage. Excellent length.

This is superb rose sparkling wine. It can be enjoyed on its own however it also has all the qualities of an excellent food wine. It has refreshing acidity, red fruit & pastry notes, finessed mousse, tangerine zest, and umami. It is beautifully balanced. It begs for a salmon wellington or mushroom bruschetta with toasted pine nuts. Drinking beautifully now or can hold 5-8 years.

Marzipan, sourdough, strawberry, grilled nut aromas. Sweet strawberry yeasty flavours, chalky lacy textures and fresh indelible acidity. Touch sweet at the finish.

This is a traditional method brut made with Pinot Noir. The wine, which was en tirage for 29 months, begins with a lovely pink hue. The aroma has notes of brioche mingled with strawberry. On the crisp, dry palate, there are flavours of strawberry and raspberry.

The Pink One is all Okanagan Falls and all pinot noir grown on the home site. Its secret to success is a mix of several clones (114, 115, and 777), planted in 2001 and 2008. It gets a brief four hours of skin contact to perfect its light copper colour before a cold fermentation and a long 29-month sleep on its lees. Like, The One, it has an intriguing complexity woven through its strawberry and freshly baked biscuit nose. The palate flashes red currants and citrus with a perfectly leesy/yeasty undercurrent. It struck gold at the National Wine Awards of Canada this year, never an easy task when tasted among the country’s best. Dry and ready to drink, you can take this to the dinner table.

Attractive sparkling wine with red berries and fruit and some yeasty character on the nose and palate. Light orange pink, with bottle and lees aging showing. Fine bubbles with a long red current and lemon peel finish.
