This bold wine is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvingnon, Malbec and Cabernet Franc. Rich aromas of raspberry, cranberry, and black current and are balanced with flavours of dark cherry, black current and dark berries with hints of cocoa, sweet tobacco, leather, spice and vanilla. This wine has a great mouth feel, smooth but firm tannins and a long lingering finish.

This is the best Meritage "Bordeaux Blend" I have ever tasted from the Okanagan. It delivers layers of rich dark fruits (blackberry, black currant, black cherry) with inviting aromas which are mirrored on the palate, what is most surprising is the flawless balance of solid fruit composition, great acidity, thread of underlying silky tannins all supported with balanced alcohol and a beautiful textural depth with long lingering juicy length. This wine has been judiciously framed by French oak giving it a hint of toasted cocoa. Ultra smooth and cohesive. Stunningly seamless. It is a food wine but can be enjoyed on its own. It is tremendous quality, and worthy of very high praise!

Katherine's review is good. I think it's currently the best BC red for the money by far. I've learned to stop sharing these gems on social media because when I go back to my wine store to buy more, they're sold out! If you can find the Noble Ridge 2012 Meritage, load up! I make one last several nights (for myself) and it's sublime after it's been open. Congratulations NR.
