Sustainability At Noble Ridge

September 16, 2024

The winery is named for the noble varieties of grapes grown and the ridge that divides the land on which they thrive. But this noble name is more than just a nod to the land and the noble grapes. It’s a statement of values. A goal. A reminder of the hard work and dedication on which the winery was built and how we will sustain the winery into the future.

We believe that sustainable living applies to every aspect of our day – in the vineyard, in the winery, in the tasting room and in our daily lives. Imbedded in the Noble Ridge Mission Statement is the phrase – “Responsible Stewardship of our Planet”. Our mission statement drives and directs all the activities, including sustainability activities.

Our COO, Benoit Gauthier, is leading the sustainability initiatives at Noble Ridge. He is working with the Sustainable Winegrowing BC certification program and TOTA’s Biosphere program, in conjunction with several sustainable initiatives already in place at Noble Ridge.

Noble Ridge breaks down its Sustainability Program into 5 components – People, Water, Energy, Waste and Land. Each is an important part of the overall program. To read more about what we are doing around these pillars please click:  Sustainability Practices
